GET TO KNOW US

Esme’s Place Incorporated provides a broad range of social services and support services for
people facing social, and mental health, substance use, and/or trauma challenges. Esme’s Place
incorporated in 2023. However, in 2020 it began as a peer program of another for-profit
organization called Catalyst Recovery and Wellness LLC, an outpatient mental health, substance
abuse, and trauma practice. During the pandemic, many nonprofits reduced hours and
/or
services, however, the demand for social support, resource allocation, and unmet basic needs
increased. Since 2020, Esme’s Place Incorporated collaborated with several local
agencies to meet basic needs such as food boxes to the community, hygiene packs,
clothing, tents, sleeping bags, and blankets for the community.

Peer Recovery services grew out of a response to the demand of services for peer support
groups and services, care coordination, community resource allocation, recovery education,
community awareness, and case management in the Greater Prince William County Area. In
2021, Esme’s Place Incorporated expanded its services from meeting basic immediate
needs to provide bi-lingual (English and Spanish) peer support groups and services for
mental health, addiction, and trauma.

Esme’s Place’s case management programs target at-risk populations. Esme’s Place peer
the program works closely with District 35 Probation and Parole to provide direct peer support
services for probationers, especially those facing housing instability. Many returning citizens faced
behavioral health, substance use, trauma challenges, some cognitive delays, and disabilities who
were referred to peer recovery services after release.
